Crussi is a Piedmontese term and it means “worry”. The “crussi” is the emotion that gives life to every big challenge. Crussi - during the passage of years – was a big fascinating “concern”.

Vinification      The fermentation with the skins occurs in cement tanks for 30 days. The aging takes place - with malolactic fermentation - in Allier oak barrels, 3rd and 4th passage, for a total of 24 months then at least 6 months of bottles aging

Characteristics    Crussi shows an extraordinary and well- balanced character. It has an intense nose, with notes of blackberry, liquorice, tar, tobacco and spices. In mouth, Crussi is full-bodied with fascinating evolved scents due to the ageing in oak barrels. Perfect balance between great purity and complexity.

Food combination        Ideal combination with red and white meat courses, even game

 

 

CASTELLEONE

To the old medieval name of the Castiglione Tinella village - Castelleone - was dedicated this Langhe DOC Pinot Nero.

Vinification      The fermentation with the skins takes place in a cement tanks for 2 weeks. The aging - with malo-lactic fermentation – is in Allier oak barrels, 3rd and 4th passage, for a total of 18 months then at least 6 months of bottles aging

Characteristics   Castelleone offers a lovely aromatic blend of red ripe cherry, spices, and ginger in the nose. In the mouth, full- bodied, finishes with startlingly vivid florality, sweet berry fruit and spice

Food combination        Ideal combination with meat appetizers and with main courses, even strongly dressed. When aged it is a proper combination for red and white meat courses

 

 

MODetMONET

This wine is dedicated to the two-Family doggies: Mod (a schnauzer) and Monet (a fox terrier).

Vinification      ModetMonet is produced with Chardonnay and Riesling varieties grapes. Fermentation takes place in Allier oak barrels, 3rd -4th passages, with a variable capacity from 225 to 300 - 500 litres and the maturation on the lees continues for 9/12 months

Characteristics Fresh and complex nose with citrus fruit aromas. On the palate, the wine shows great intensity and character with great mineral hints and concentrated fruit. Well balanced acidity

Food combination        Ideal combination with meat or sausages of fish appetizers. Perfect with main courses, even strongly dressed. Wonderful as an aperitif

Characteristics   Fresh, intense and fruity bouquet with notes typical of the grape varieties of origin. In the mouth, it is full, acid, with full body

Food combination    It is the ideal combination for appetizers and first courses. The structure of Il Pallido also goes well with white meat dishes

VINO DA MESSA

Authorization   Vino da Messa/ Sacramental Wine - Cà Richeta is produced following the Canon law regulation under the supervision and authorization of Curia Diocesana di Alba (Cn) – Prot. 40/13 del 15/11/13

Vinification      Vino da Messa / Sacramental Wine - Ca’ Richeta is made by natural over ripening in the vine of the grapes used. Some of the grapes are further dried on wooden boxes. The greatest consequence of the over ripening of the grapes is that grapes become dry and the loss of weight which can vary from 30 to 45%, with an increase of the sugar content and various other elements. The aging takes place in Allier oak barrels - with a variable capacity from 225 to 500 litres - for a period that goes from 24 to 48 months

Characteristics    Rich nose with scents of raisins, honey, fig, almond, apricot and peach. In the mouth it has a full body and long persistence. Vino da Messa / Sacramental Wine - Ca’ Richeta increases in elegance after a few years of aging
